The health and wellbeing of our employees, supply chain partners, clients and the communities that we serve has never been more important than during these unprecedented times.
Therefore, we are taking decisive action to safeguard people operating across every one of our sites across the world. In line with this, we have a comprehensive programme of ongoing and regular reviews of all our projects. Where site activity cannot meet an enhanced risk profile test, informed first by country-relevant guidelines, and also by our own global best practice, we have acted to temporarily suspend activity.
The two main reasons for any pause in activity are as follows:
• travelling to and from site cannot be achieved safely due to social distancing requirements
• current site operating conditions do not support social distancing requirements.
Where a site is suspended, we will be in regular contact with our customers and our supply chain partners to ensure that when sites are able to resume, we can mobilise quickly and in line with official safety guidance and, additionally, our own standards.
We are acting now to protect the welfare of all people in and around our sites. I believe that by taking this decisive action we will keep our people, customers, supply chain and the general public safe.
