Hailed for its very own craft beers, Little Creatures is now setting its presence in the city and launching its first brewery restaurant in the charming neighbourhood of Kennedy Town. The Australian brewing company aspires to branch out of its hometown, taking its beer and hospitality offering to a vibrant destination in Asia. The set-up will position Little Creatures prominently in the fast-developing craft beer scene in Hong Kong as it will be brewing their Pale Ale to the Australian recipe, plus its own recipes on site.

The project

ISG was appointed by owner Kirin Holdings to provide the construction fit out for the 5,100 sq ft brewery restaurant, which was completed in July 2016. The aesthetic appeal of the venue takes on the industrial-warehouse character, drawing on the neighbourhood’s gritty past and its current hipster community. It accommodates up to 150 people, and houses its original brewery kit, openly exhibited yet fully operational amid the open bar. Showcasing its full range of ales and beers, this poses an interesting feature to construct as the process of installing breweries calls for optimum temperature.

Ever since the MTR’s west Island Line connection to Kennedy Town, the neighbourhood received its hipster status, attracting many quirky scenes to sprout up in the area. Kennedy Town has since transformed into one of Hong Kong’s nightlife destinations and Little Creatures would certainly strike out as one of the latest addition to the neighbourhood.
